Blanchard Lions Varsity Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Choctaw
Blanchard Lions Varsity defeated Choctaw 7-4 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with Blanchard Lions Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Callie Hacker doubled off of Swafford, driving in two runs.
Choctaw took an early lead in the first inning. Larman homered on a 3-1 count in the first inning, scoring one run.
Makenzie Gray earned the win for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She threw four innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and walking one. Swafford took the loss for Choctaw. She pitched one and one-third innings, allowing four runs, three hits, and walking one.
Kodie Johnson started the game for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She went two innings, surrendering four runs, five hits, and walking zero. Burk started the game for Choctaw. She pitched four and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs, four hits, striking out two, and walking one.
Blanchard Lions Varsity had seven hits in the game. Larissa Maston and Callie Hacker each collected multiple hits for Blanchard Lions Varsity. Hacker and Maston each collected two hits to lead Blanchard Lions Varsity.
