Boys Varsity Golf, Girls Varsity Golf · Two Golfers Sign Letters of Intent

Two Blanchard High School Golfers have recently signed letters of intent to continue their golfing careers on the collegiate level.

Rayna Thomason has signed with Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.

The Bethany golf program was established in 1923. In the past 15 years, Bethany golfers have come from 21 states from coast to coast and 14 foreign countries. They play a fall and spring schedule in the states of Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and they travel across the country to compete in national championships. Swedes golf has played at Sawgrass, PGA West in Florida, and Southern Hills. They practice on four golf facilities only 15 minutes from campus. They understand their opportunity for a quality education and legitimate chance to play for a national championship. Over the years, many school records have been established, including a team record of 279 (9 under) for 18 holes and 853 (11under) for 54 holes as a team. Bethany secured 11 consecutive conference championships from 1994 through 2005. The team’s dominance has been unmatched in the history of any conference.
