June 1st – 14th     Return to Activity Phase 1

Can begin small group workouts with 15 or less student-athletes together at one time (indoor facility).  No games or scrimmages will be conducted during this time.

  1. Facility and equipment should be properly sanitized prior to workouts and at the end of each session.
  2. Prior to and after workouts, participants will be required to use hand santizer or properly wash hands.
  3. Athletes should bring their own water bottle, towel, etc. and are asked not to share with others under any circumstance.
  4. NO parents or fans in attendance at an indoor facility. If you allow parents to an outdoor facility, social distancing should be practiced and the bleachers should be disinfected at the conclusion of the session.
  5. Student-athletes (and/or their parents) that are concerned about the possible health risks of exposure to COVID-19 are not required to attend. Student-Athletes will not receive any consequences as a result of non-attendance during this time.  However, participation in a team camp at a later date against other competition may be limited due to lack of physical preparation.  This would only be implemented to avoid injury to a student-athlete.

Can conduct large group settings outdoors with more than 15 student-athletes as long as social distancing guidelines are followed.  No games or scrimmages will be conducted during this time.

  1. If utilizing a locker room before outdoor practice, no more than 15 student/athletes in the locker room at one time. (pre and post practice)
  2. Any facility that student/athletes enter will be sanitized at the conclusion of each session and prior to another group entering.
  3. Prior to and after workouts, participants will be required to use hand santizer or properly wash hands.
  4. Student-athletes (and/or their parents) that are concerned about the possible health risks of exposure to COVID-19 are not required to attend. A “Team Camp” with only our student/athletes can be conducted during this time, but “Camp” should consists of fundamentals of the sport with no scrimmaging or contact between players.  This time should allow players to prepare for full Team Camps with other teams at a later date.  No travel to an off campus site for Team Camp is permitted during this time.

 

June 15th – 26th  Return to Activity Phase 2

Barring any changes with the State’s Guidelines, full participation can begin during this time with certain precautions.

  1. During this time, practice/camps can be conducted according to the policy and procedures of the OSSAA Handbook for your sport.
  2. Off campus camps/summer leagues can take place using school transportation (no overnight trips). Bus will be sanitized upon on return to campus.

July 27th – July 5th  Dead Period

OSSAA has canceled the Dead Period for this summer, so all facilities can be open and activities or contact with coaches/players will be conducted during the time.

July 6th – Aug 7th  Return to Full Activity

No restrictions assuming the State has moved to “normal” operations.  Facility and equipment will continue to be sanitized after each session.

July 15th

Fast Pitch Softball, Cross Country, and Volleyball may begin organized practice with season opener August 10th or opening of school.  Also, this is the cutoff date for any other sport’s organized practice or camps using OSSAA member facilities.
