Blanchard Lady Lions defeated the Chickasha Chicks last night 34-6 to remain unbeaten in conference play. The Lady Lions provided a strong defensive effort keeping their opponent in the single digits. Blanchard had 8 different players scoring in the contest. The Lady Lions will return to action on Thursday against the Tuttle Tigers in a conference game at home, 5:00 start.

Those scoring in the contest were:

Mackenzie Heeke 10, Abby Wood 7, Elli Scoles 6, Grace Minton 4, Cameran Carpenter 2, Emma Cosby 2, Alanah Cox 2, and Allison Lawson 1.

The 7th Grade Lions came away with a 37-25 victory over the Purcell Dragons to capture the Consolation Championship of the Canadian Valley Conference Tournament. Scoring for the Lions:

Early Lead For Lone Grove Seals Fate For Blanchard Lions Varsity

Blanchard Lions Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-0 loss to Lone Grove on Friday. Lone Grove took the lead on a in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Lone Grove pitchers struck out seven, while Blanchard Lions Varsity sat down two.

Lone Grove got on the board in the first inning.

A single by Kylee Ott in the first inning was a positive for Blanchard Lions Varsity.
Guthrie got the win for Lone Grove. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out seven and walking zero.

Ott took the loss for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She went six innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out two and walking zero.

Ott went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Blanchard Lions Varsity in hits.

Mason led Lone Grove with two hits in three at bats. Lone Grove was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Graves made the most plays with seven.

Makenzie Throws Shutout As Blanchard Lions Varsity Defeats Tecumseh

Makenzie Gray didn’t allow a single run as Blanchard Lions Varsity defeated Tecumseh 3-0 on Friday. Gray allowed just six hits.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Gray struck out two, while Meeks sat down three.
Blanchard Lions Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Larissa Maston grounded out, scoring one run.

A single by Alexander in the first inning was a positive for Tecumseh.

Gray earned the win for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one.

Meeks took the loss for Tecumseh. She lasted six innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out three and walking zero.

Blanchard Lions Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Lone Grove on Thursday. Lone Grove scored on a fielder’s choice by Nail, a single by Guthrie, and a single by Dobson in the first inning.

The Blanchard Lions Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Lone Grove, giving up ten runs.

Lone Grove opened up scoring in the first inning. Nail hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Blanchard Lions Varsity was a single by Madison Turner in the third inning.

Guthrie pitched Lone Grove to victory. She lasted six innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out ten and walking one.

Micah Whitlow took the loss for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She went one inning, allowing four runs on two hits and walking one.

Lone Grove mashed two home runs on the day. Skelly put one out in the fourth inning. Stevenson had a homerun in the sixth inning.

Turner led Blanchard Lions Varsity with one hit in two at bats.

Lone Grove had 11 hits in the game. Skelly, McMurtrey, and Johnson all collected multiple hits for Lone Grove. Lone Grove was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Graves made the most plays with ten.

It came down to the wire on Thursday, with Blanchard Lions Varsity taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Tecumseh. The game was tied at three with Blanchard Lions Varsity batting in the bottom of the seventh when Kylee Ott singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Ott led the Blanchard Lions Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. She lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out two and walking one.

Meeks took the loss for Tecumseh. She went five and a third innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking zero.

Makenzie Gray started the game for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She allowed four hits and two runs over five and a third innings, striking out two and walking one.

Larissa Maston went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Blanchard Lions Varsity in hits.

Tecumseh didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kennedy had the most chances in the field with four.

The Lions lost to the Warriors Monday night in overtime 6-12 in a hard fought contest. Montana Deskin capped off a long drive with a short TD run to even the score at 6 all. The Lions were stopped on their possession in overtime and Anadarko scored on their third play to win the game. The Lions will next play on Tuesday 10/10 at home against Lindsay following the 7th grade game.

The Lions lost a tough overtime contest to Anadarko by the score of 6-12 Monday night in Anadarko. Zack Garrett scored the only Lion touchdown of the night capping off a long drive by the Lions. The Warriors returned the kickoff for a touchdown of their own and tied the game at 6-6. A deep drive into Anadarko territory ended on a turnover on downs before the end of regulation. Overtime saw the Warriors score on its first possession and the Lions were stopped at the two yard line to end the game. The Lions will take a 2-3 record into its next game with Lindsay Tuesday 10/10 at 5:00 in Blanchard.

Blanchard Lions Varsity Defeats Mount St. Mary In A Blow-Out Victory

Blanchard Lions Varsity sailed to an easy victory over Mount St. Mary 15-1 on Thursday
In the first inning, Blanchard Lions Varsity got their offense started when Toree Doshier singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Blanchard Lions Varsity scored five runs in the fifth inning. Larissa Maston, Madison
Briscoe, Gracie Steelman, and Avery Schneringer all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Kodie Johnson was the winning pitcher for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Schneringer threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Gallagher took the loss for Mount St. Mary. She lasted five innings, allowing ten hits and 15 runs while striking out one.

Blanchard Lions Varsity totaled ten hits. Briscoe, Schneringer, Maston, and Steelman each collected multiple hits for Blanchard Lions Varsity. Steelman, Maston, Schneringer, and Briscoe all had two hits to lead Blanchard Lions Varsity.

Blanchard Lions Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field.

Faires led Mount St. Mary with two hits in two at bats.
