The JH Lady Lions won a close one against rival Tuttle on Tuesday. The score was 6 to 4. Karlie Beshears picked up the win in the circle, while Lyndey Holding, Grace Minton, and Jessica Phares all had 2 hits a piece. The Lady Lions will take on Dale on Thursday at home. First game starts at 5:00.

Game Recap

The Blanchard Lions 8th grade team rolled up Newcastle 36-0 Monday night to run their record to 2-1 on the year. Lincoln Smith started the scoring for Blanchard on the first play from scrimmage with a long TD run followed by a 2pt conversion by Montana Deskin. Blake Witmer, Cameron Paxton, and Montana Deskin were the other touchdowns for the night. Paxton and Hayden Bowles added 2pt conversions of their own to complete the scoring. The defense was strong all night and was led by fumble recovery’s from Ethan Warren, Riley Langford, and Ben Farrell, as well as a strong defensive push by Braxton North and Dalton Bardsher. Smith and Witmer each had an interception. The Lions next play at home September 25th at 7:00 against Tuttle

Jaxon Laminack scored both touchdowns for the Lions 7th grade Monday night in a hard fought game against the Racers. The first touchdown was a scoop and score of a Racer fumble and the second was a QB keep to extend the lead.  Zack Garrett added a 2 pt conversion to conclude the scoring. The defense played well all night stopping two deep Newcastle drives. The next game will be at home against Tuttle on September 25th at 6:00

Big Sixth Inning Gives Blanchard Lions Varsity Win Over Guthrie

Blanchard Lions Varsity defeated Guthrie 9-1 on Saturday thanks to six runs in the sixth inning. Blanchard Lions Varsity scored on a single by Callie Hacker, a single by Kylee Ott, a double by Jayme Joyce, and a double by Larissa Maston.

Blanchard Lions Varsity scored six runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Callie Hacker, a single by Kylee Ott, a double by Jayme Joyce, and a double by Larissa Maston.

Makenzie Gray earned the win for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She went five innings, surrendering one run, seven hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Bradley took the loss for Guthrie. She pitched five and a third innings, giving up nine runs, 13 hits, striking out two, and walking zero.

Blanchard Lions Varsity had 13 hits in the game. Joyce, Carly Craig, Hacker, Ott, and
Emylee Campbell each collected multiple hits for Blanchard Lions Varsity. Maston and Joyce each drove in two runs to lead Blanchard Lions Varsity. Blanchard Lions Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Maston had the most chances in the field with eight.

Guthrie collected nine hits. Dodgion and Bolding each collected multiple hits for Guthrie. Dodgion led Guthrie with three hits in three at bats.

Blanchard Lions Varsity and Weatherford traded the lead back-and-forth on Saturday, but eventually Blanchard Lions Varsity prevailed 11-5. Blanchard Lions Varsity took the lead for good in the second inning. The game was tied at five with Blanchard Lions Varsity batting in the bottom of the second when Brown induced Larissa Maston to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Weatherford scored four runs in the first inning, but Blanchard Lions Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Weatherford came thanks to a error, a single by Mccoy, and a groundout.

Weatherford captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Weatherford.

Makenzie Gray earned the win for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She threw three innings, giving up five runs, six hits, and walking zero. Brown took the loss for Weatherford. She tossed four and a third innings, allowing 11 runs, ten hits, and striking out three.

Blanchard Lions Varsity had trouble putting away Bridge Creek on Thursday, but eventually

Blanchard Lions Varsity prevailed 9-6. Blanchard Lions Varsity took the lead for good in the seventh inning. The game was tied at six with Blanchard Lions Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Larissa Maston singled off of Robinson, driving in one run.

Blanchard Lions Varsity collected 14 hits and Bridge Creek had eight in the high-scoring affair

Blanchard Lions Varsity took an early lead in the first inning. Blanchard Lions Varsity scored one run when Larissa Maston singled with two outs in the first inning.

Bridge Creek evened things up at six in the bottom of the sixth inning. Robinson drove in two when she singled in the sixth inning.

Bridge Creek scored three runs in the sixth inning. Bridge Creek’s big inning was driven by a single by Bell and a single by Robinson.

Kylee Ott earned the win for Blanchard Lions Varsity. She pitched three innings, allowing three runs, three hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Robinson took the loss for Bridge Creek. She tossed seven innings, surrendering nine runs, 14 hits, striking out one, and walking one.

Jayme Joyce, Karli Martin, Maston, and Ott each collected multiple hits for Blanchard Lions Varsity. Joyce led Blanchard Lions Varsity with three hits in four at bats.

Blanchard Lions Varsity and McLoud traded the lead back-and-forth on Tuesday, but eventually Blanchard Lions Varsity prevailed 7-5. Blanchard Lions Varsity took the lead for good in the eleventh inning. The game was tied at five with Blanchard Lions Varsity batting in the top of the eleventh when Callie Hacker homered off of Walker, driving in two runs.

Blanchard Lions Varsity was boosted by Callie Hacker who went 5-for-6 at the plate.

Hacker singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, singled in the seventh, and homered in the eleventh.

Blanchard Lions Varsity captured the lead in the second inning. Micah Whitlow singled on a 1-0 count in the second inning, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, McLoud tied things up at five. A wild pitch by Kylee Ott scored one run for McLoud.

Blanchard Lions Varsity scored three runs in the seventh inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Hacker and a double by Ott.

The Junior High Lady Lions got back in the win column Tuesday with a decisive win over McCloud 11 to 1. Talise Jones picked up the win in the circle, while Grace Minton (3 for 3), Talise Jones (2 for 2), and Cameran Carpenter (1 for 1) accounted for 6 of Blanchard’s 8 hits. The JH Lady Lions will take on Bridgecreek directly after the HS game on Thursday. The HS Lady Lions will start at 1:00, and the JH will follow.

Game Recap

The 7th grade Lions beat the Harrah Panthers 32-0 Monday night to even their record at 1-1. Good blocking from the offensive line was key to the success of the Lions offense all night. Jaxon Laminack had two touchdown receptions both thrown by Bryson Frazier. Zack Garrett added one more rushing touchdown and Jax Steelman and Coulson Carpenter each added another TD on the ground before Frazier closed the scoring with a 2pt conversion. The defense played hard all night keeping Harrah on their side of the field much of the night. Garrett led the defense with one interception. The Lions next play at home September 18th at 6:00 against the Newcastle Racers.
