Blanchard Lions JV Struggles To Find Groove Against Sal Pointe
Blanchard Lions JV couldn’t keep up with Sal Pointe and fell 13-3 on Thursday.
Blanchard Lions JV got things moving in the first inning, when Caleb Reed was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Sal Pointe knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the first inning, when McHughes singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Sal Pointe pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Cioe singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and McGee doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Sal Pointe scored six runs in the fourth inning. McGee, Preble, Londono, McMahon, and Rogers all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
McGee was the winning pitcher for Sal Pointe. He allowed two hits and three runs over five innings, striking out seven.
Colby Langford took the loss for Blanchard Lions JV. He lasted three and a third innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out two.
Cam Brown and Zack Fuhr each collected one hit to lead Blanchard Lions JV.
