Ty Vanmeter Drives In Five As Blanchard Lions Varsity Defeats Bethany

Ty Vanmeter showed timely hitting on Thursday, driving in five on two hits to lead Blanchard Lions Varsity past Bethany 19-2 on Thursday. Vanmeter drove in runs on a groundout in the first, a walk in the second, and a home run in the seventh.
Blanchard Lions Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Vanmeter grounded out, scoring one run.
Blanchard Lions Varsity scored eight runs in the seventh inning. Blanchard Lions Varsity’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Jack Kiker and Bryce Madron, a walk by Jace Beck, a home run by Vanmeter, and a double by Callen Golloway.
Vanmeter led the Blanchard Lions Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He surrendered two runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out 11.
Diego Ramirez took the loss for Bethany. He surrendered five runs on two hits over one inning.
Blanchard Lions Varsity socked two home runs on the day. Vanmeter went yard in the seventh inning. Payton Miller put one out in the fifth inning.
Blanchard Lions Varsity racked up 14 hits. Kiker, Tyler Henry, Miller, Madron, and Vanmeter all had multiple hits for Blanchard Lions Varsity. Kiker went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Blanchard Lions Varsity in hits. Blanchard Lions Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Miller had the most chances in the field with 12.
