Blanchard Lions Clinches Lead In Fourth Inning To Defeat Bishop Kelley

Blanchard Lions stole the lead late and defeated Bishop Kelley 16-8 on Saturday. The game was tied at eight with Blanchard Lions batting in the top of the fourth when Colby Reed doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Reed collected four hits in four at bats to help lead Blanchard Lions to victory. Reed doubled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.
In the first inning, Blanchard Lions got their offense started when Bryce Madron homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
In the bottom of the third inning, Bishop Kelley tied things up at eight. Bishop Kelley scored one run when Jake McMurray tripled.
Blanchard Lions took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Ty Vanmeter singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Tyler Henry’s sac fly scored one run for Blanchard Lions , and Camden Cooper tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
Vanmeter led the Blanchard Lions to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He lasted four innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out five.
Ryan Glenn took the loss for Bishop Kelley. He allowed ten hits and eight runs over two innings, walking zero.
Rowdy Steelman started the game for Blanchard Lions . He allowed seven hits and seven runs over two innings.
Blanchard Lions racked up 20 hits. Reed, Jack Kiker, Vanmeter, Cooper, Callen Golloway, and Madron each had multiple hits for Blanchard Lions . Kiker and Reed each managed four hits to lead Blanchard Lions .
