Blanchard Lions Clinches Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Tuttle

Blanchard Lions snagged a late lead and defeated Tuttle 8-2 on Friday. The game was tied at two with Blanchard Lions batting in the top of the seventh when Colby Reed doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Blanchard Lions secured the victory thanks to six runs in the seventh inning. Reed, Rowdy Steelman, Tyler Henry, and JJ Weatherington powered the big inning with RBIs.
In the top of the sixth inning, Blanchard Lions tied things up at two when Ty Vanmeter hit a solo homer.
Vanmeter pitched Blanchard Lions to victory. He went four and a third innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out two. Reed threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Jace Beck took the loss for Tuttle. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 hits and eight runs while striking out eight.
Blanchard Lions launched one home run on the day. Vanmeter went for the long ball in the sixth inning.
Blanchard Lions saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Vanmeter, Reed, Callen Golloway, and Henry each had multiple hits for Blanchard Lions . Reed and Vanmeter each collected three hits to lead Blanchard Lions . Blanchard Lions was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Reed had the most chances in the field with seven.
Cody Carlton led Tuttle with two hits in four at bats.
