Bats Blistered As Blanchard Lions Falls To Owasso In High-Scoring Game

Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Blanchard Lions fell to Owasso 18-9 on Friday.
The Blanchard Lions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Owasso, giving up 18 runs.
Blanchard Lions opened up scoring in the first inning, when Brayden Lloyd threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Blanchard Lions .
Owasso evened things up at seven in the bottom of the first inning when Connor Beichler grounded out, scoring one run.
Owasso pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second Callen Golloway threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Owasso.
Owasso scored ten runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Owasso was led by C. D. White, Cameron Thompson, Charlie Reuss, Keaton Ranallo, Caleb Denny, and White, all driving in runs in the inning.
Lloyd earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Owasso. He lasted five innings, allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out six.
Golloway took the loss for Blanchard Lions . He allowed nine hits and 13 runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two.
Owasso smacked two home runs on the day. Thompson had a dinger in the third inning. Ranallo went deep in the third inning.
